About This App
Ready Set Split ("the App") is an ultramarathon pace planning tool developed and operated by Ready Set Split ("we," "us," or "our"). The App helps runners plan aid station splits, track pace targets, and prepare for long-distance races.
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Ready Set Split iOS application and the website at readysetsplit.com.
Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to provide the App's features. Here's what that includes:
- Information you provide directly: Race details, distance targets, pace goals, and aid station data that you enter into the App. This data is stored locally on your device.
- Purchase information: If you subscribe to Ready Set Split Premium, Apple handles the transaction entirely. We receive only a confirmation that a valid subscription exists — we never see your payment details, card number, or billing address.
- Basic usage data: If analytics are enabled, we may collect anonymous information such as which features are used and how often. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
Information We Do Not Collect
We want to be explicit about what we do not do:
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any account credentials.
- We do not access your location, contacts, photos, or health data.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third-party data brokers.
- We do not build advertising profiles based on your usage.
How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used solely to operate and improve the App:
- To provide core features: Your race plans and pace data are used to power the App's planning and split calculation tools.
- To manage subscriptions: Subscription status is checked to determine which features you have access to.
- To improve the App: Aggregated, anonymous usage patterns help us understand which features are most useful so we can build a better product.
Data Storage & Security
Your race plans and pace data are stored locally on your device. We do not transmit this data to external servers. If you delete the App, your locally stored data is removed from your device.
We use industry-standard security practices to protect any data that does pass through our systems. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we take the protection of your information seriously.
Apple & Third-Party Services
Ready Set Split is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect certain information in accordance with their own privacy policy as part of operating the App Store and processing in-app purchases. We encourage you to review Apple's Privacy Policy.
We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, social login services, or data brokers into the App.
Children's Privacy
Ready Set Split is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will provide notice through the App or on this website. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
